pop up is not concealed properly

Installed the bathtub and only found out the popup doesn't conceal which causes a water leak. The plumber had to go and buy a new one to spend double the time fixing the problem. I will send you my plumbing bill because of its inadequate quality. The picture shows how poor the popup quality is, not to mention the popup drops down when water flushes in while draining the tub.
