Washing hands: Method and recommendations. - Ideal Bathroom Centre

Washing hands: Method and recommendations.

With the current health situation around the world, it is more important than ever that we keep good hygienic habits in our daily life. It is a duty to ourselves and the people around us.

One of the habits that most health organisations around the world encourage is a proper hand washing technique. Maintaining our hands clean and avoiding contact with face and dirty surfaces can greatly improve our chances to remain free of any infection, virus or bacteria.

According to the CDC(Centres for Disease Control and prevention) of the US Department of Health:

"Handwashing with soap removes germs from hands. This helps prevent infections because:

  • People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it. Germs can get into the body through the eyes, nose and mouth and make us sick.
  • Germs from unwashed hands can get into foods and drinks while people prepare or consume them. Germs can multiply in some types of foods or drinks, under certain conditions, and make people sick.
  • Germs from unwashed hands can be transferred to other objects, like handrails, table tops, or toys, and then transferred to another person’s hands.
  • Removing germs through handwashing therefore helps prevent diarrhea and respiratory infections and may even help prevent skin and eye infections."

In order to effectively clean our hands, the steps are as follows.

It is always useful to have a tap mixer that allows an easy turn on and off without touching it directly with our recently washed hands. At Ideal Bathroom Centre, we recommend you the following products:
